6th Swing [action/video]
[It's midday and guess who still has pent up aggression from the last mission? This guy.
Cato could be found in the Battle Dome, using it for the first time since he got here - which would have shocked anyone who actually knew him - the fact that he'd gone so long without training was strange.
To him, though, it hadn't mattered for a long time after he arrived. Because he was dead - he wasn't going to be competing in the games any more and that was the only reason he trained, the only reason he even existed before. An existential crisis? Definitely.
There are dummies cut down all around him and it's apparent he's been in here for a long time by the way he's breathing and sweating. But he's grinning into the journal.]
Anyone feel like sparring?

[Spock presses a few buttons by the simulation door, and when they enter, they are presented with a traditional Japanese Dojo....
Spock takes a defensive stance in the middle of the room....]
At your ready Mister Cato...

[He shrugs, the movement sharp and focused as he readies himself. His fists come up in a close approximation of a modern boxing style, his footing is equally set and it would become obvious that his hand to hand combat is more akin to survival techniques rather than lasting in a fight.
He closes the space between them, not making any moves as he does so but once Spock is in range of a good right hook he delivers it but as a feint, bucking backwards half-way through the solid movement of his arm.
Cato knows one rule about sparring and that's to check your opponent first before going on the attack. See what they do and find the weakness to exploit. ]

... it is obvious that the youth is very skilled at fighting...
However, it is obvious that Cato is testing him... Spock doesn't even flinch at the feint.... he instead wait for his moment to strike.

He means to hit him this time for sure.]

He could have grabbed the hand to bring its motion to a stop... however, he decided to quickly lean back and avoid the hit... allowing Cato to follow through on air.
